I am a UGC creator in São Paulo and I produce short vertical videos for beauty brands that want their product shown by a real person rather than built in a studio.

Beauty is my area, and it is a category that does not forgive anything fake. A Brazilian audience spots a memorised script instantly, and a video that sounds rehearsed performs worse than one filmed at a bathroom sink in natural light. So I work close to the real thing: texture in close up, genuine application, an honest first impression, before and after when the product allows it. If something did not work for me, I would rather say so, because that is exactly what makes the rest of the video be taken seriously.

I film in Portuguese, for a Brazilian audience, which is the largest beauty market in the region and one of the most demanding. São Paulo helps: I can vary the setting so the video does not always look like the same apartment, and I have quick access to launches and trends that arrive here before the rest of the country.

What I deliver is vertical video designed for a paid feed: a hook in the first two seconds, the product used rather than described, and a clear reason to watch to the end. I can film the same idea with three or four different openings when a brand wants to test which one holds attention, which is usually the fastest way to find out what works before putting media budget behind it.
