Who writes these guides

The guides are produced by the UGC MATCH editorial desk, split into two areas: one for creators, one for brands. Each area signs under a pen name, Léna Duarte and Marc Aubert. These are bylines for a team, not private individuals, and they claim no employer, diploma or prior role, because an invented credential is worth less than none.

How a guide is written

A guide starts from the mechanics of the job: what a brand has to decide before it orders, what a creator has to settle before filming. Where a guide states a legal, tax or administrative rule, that rule belongs to a specific country, and the guide is written for that country rather than translated from another one. Amounts, thresholds and deadlines age faster than anything else on a page, so they are the first thing revised.

Where we have an interest, and what we do about it

We run the marketplace the guides describe. That is a commercial interest and pretending otherwise would be worse than naming it. Our rule is that a guide states its trade-offs, and says plainly when another option suits a reader better, including options we do not sell. No guide placement is paid for, and no third party pays to be recommended or omitted.

What you will not find here

No fabricated reviews, ratings or order counts. No invented expert. No case study we cannot stand behind. Profiles created to demonstrate the product are labelled as such and cannot take an order.

Dates and corrections

Each article shows when it was published and, when it differs, when its content was last revised. A technical change to the site does not move that date; only a change to the text does. If you find an error, especially a figure or a rule that has changed, write to us and we will correct the guide rather than leave it standing.

Not professional advice

These guides explain how the work is usually done. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice. For a decision that binds you, ask a professional qualified in your country.
