Spanish creators hold an unusual position: they can sell to Europe, to Latin America and to global brands that need Spanish from Spain. Each of those markets pays differently and works differently.

The three foreign markets

Europe

German, French, Italian and Nordic brands entering the Spanish market and needing a local face. They pay well and work with clear contracts.

Latin America

Brands that want to sound European in order to position as premium. They pay less, but they are volume and they answer fast.

The United States and global brands

They look for content in Spanish from Spain for the European market. They pay best and are the most demanding about process.

What changes when invoicing abroad

Here is the technical part worth settling before the first job, not after.

Invoicing a company in another European Union country with an intra community VAT number changes how VAT is handled. Invoicing outside the Union does too, and differently again.

Do not improvise: one consultation with an accountant before issuing your first international invoice costs little and prevents an expensive correction. It is the part where most people get it wrong.

How to get paid

Bank transfer to a euro account for European clients. For the rest, international payment platforms or marketplaces that handle collection.

Settle before accepting: invoicing currency, who absorbs the fees, and payment terms. Without that, a four hundred euro job can arrive as three hundred and forty, at sixty days.

What changes in the brief

Foreign clients tend to be more specific: they want a written brief, visual references, clear deadlines and several hook versions.

They also expect communication in English. Perfection is not required, clarity is.

And a useful warning: if the brand is Latin American and asks for neutral Spanish, tell them your accent is from Spain. Better to lose the job beforehand than deliver a piece that does not fit their audience.

Your real advantage

Being a native speaker of Spanish from Spain is a scarce asset in the global market. Many brands discover late that Latin American content does not work in Europe, and then they look for exactly what you have.

Put it in the first line of your profile and your messages.

How they find you

Cold outreach works, but it is slow. A profile on a UGC marketplace with your niches, your languages and your rates makes you visible to clients you would never have contacted.
