The price of a UGC video in Germany depends less on the shoot than on the rights. Two quotes with the same number of videos can double, and the difference is almost always where and how long you may run the material.

The four price drivers

Length and setup

A short unboxing is not the same as a technical demonstration with several angles.

Variants

More hooks on the same footage cost less than the first video, but not nothing.

Ad rights

The biggest lever. Organic on the creator's channels, organic on yours, or paid ads: three prices.

Regulated categories

Supplements, finance and medical devices cost more because the creator has to know the limits of what can be said.

Net, gross and the small business rule

German creators either invoice with VAT or, as small businesses, without it. For your calculation that means: compare net prices, otherwise you are comparing different things. And if you can reclaim input VAT, the VAT shown is not a real cost block for you.

What to budget for a first test

Three creators, one video each, plus rights for paid ads if you intend to run them. That costs less than a classic production day and gives you three data points instead of one opinion.

What you are not paying for

Not production value. A UGC video that looks like a commercial loses exactly the effect you are buying it for. If the quote includes a crew, studio lighting and colour grading, you are buying a production, not UGC.
