Pricing UGC in Argentina carries a complication that does not exist elsewhere: the value of your work changes between the day you quote and the day you get paid. Solving that is half the job. The other half is understanding that you are not selling a video, you are selling a video plus a licence.

Quote in dollars, invoice in pesos

It is the most widespread practice among people who live off this, for a simple reason: it protects both sides. You do not lose value if payment is delayed, and the client knows exactly what they are buying.

The formula is direct: agree the price in dollars, invoice in pesos at the exchange rate of the invoice date, and put that in writing before starting. You do not need a ten page contract: a message with the scope, the price, the delivery date and the conversion rule is enough.

Reference ranges

These numbers are starting points, not fixed rates. Your niche, your quality and your ability to negotiate move the needle.

  • Starting out, no portfolio or references: the equivalent of thirty to sixty dollars per video.
  • With a solid portfolio and recurring clients: eighty to two hundred dollars per video.
  • Packages of three to five videos: between two hundred and fifty and six hundred dollars.
  • International clients: above those ranges, usually eighty to two hundred and fifty dollars per piece.

Clinics, the technology sector and brands selling high ticket products pay more than neighbourhood retail, because what they earn from one new client justifies the investment.

What is charged separately

This is the money most creators leave on the table. Creating the video is one thing. The right to use it is another, and it is priced separately.

  • Organic use on the brand's own accounts: usually included.
  • Paid media: charged separately, generally thirty to a hundred per cent of the base rate depending on duration and countries.
  • Exclusivity in your category: paid for, because it stops you working with competitors.
  • Whitelisting, meaning running ads from your account: a different product with its own price.
  • Raw footage: if they ask for it, charge for it.

Writing those lines into the quote changes the conversation. You are not asking for more money: you are selling more things.

Expensive pricing mistakes

Charging by the hour instead of by deliverable, because the client is not buying your time. Accepting product in exchange for work that will run as paid media, because your video will generate sales worth far more than the product. And dropping the price at the first objection without removing anything from the scope: if the price drops, the deliverable drops.

How to move up a bracket

Three concrete levers. Specialise in a niche, because a skincare creator charges more than a generalist. Deliver variations rather than a single version, since the brand is buying material to test. And target international clients, who pay in dollars and for whom your Argentine rate is still competitive.

Where to go next

Pricing in Argentina rests on two things: a clear conversion rule and a well sold licence. Our guide on how to become a UGC creator covers building the portfolio that justifies those numbers.
