Most people know Cordoba for its patios and its mosque cathedral. Fewer know that a large share of the jewellery made in Spain comes from here, in an industrial park full of workshops that export worldwide. For a UGC creator that is an unusually specific opportunity in a city where almost nobody offers video.

Three markets in one small city

Jewellery

Hundreds of small manufacturers and wholesalers, many now selling direct online. Jewellery is one of the hardest products to film well and one of the most rewarding: it is small, reflective, and its value is in detail. A creator who can light a ring properly has a skill the whole sector needs.

Tourism

Heavy in spring, thinner in the summer heat, built around the historic centre, the patios season and gastronomy. Hotels, restaurants, guided tours and craft shops.

Agriculture and food

Olive oil above all, plus wine from Montilla Moriles, cured meats and traditional food producers that sell nationally.

Filming jewellery is a learnable specialism

Three rules cover most of it. Control reflections: a small diffuser or a white card changes a metal surface completely. Get close but keep it stable: a tripod and a phone macro mode beat a shaky hand every time. And show scale: a ring on a hand tells the buyer more than the same ring on velvet.

Be careful with claims. Precious metals in Spain carry hallmark rules, and words like gold, silver or plated are not decorative, they are legal descriptions. Use the wording the manufacturer gives you.

Rates

Cordoba is a modest market: 60 to 120 euros for a single video when starting, 150 to 320 euros with a portfolio, and packs of three to five between 400 and 900 euros.

The jewellery sector is the exception again, because those companies sell to buyers outside the city and outside Spain. Product video for an export catalogue is a sales tool with a budget behind it, and it repeats every collection.

Working around the heat

Summer in Cordoba is genuinely extreme, and it changes the shooting schedule. Exteriors happen early or at the end of the day, gear left in a hot car will suffer, and clients know it. Plan the calendar around it and say so in the proposal, and you look like someone who works here rather than someone who visited once.

The administrative gate

Register as autonomo so jewellery workshops, hotels and food producers can pay an invoice. Company invoices carry VAT plus an income tax withholding, so the transfer is smaller than the total. For jewellery work, agree in writing what can be shown, because new collections are often confidential until a trade fair.

Where to go next

Cordoba rewards a technical specialist far more than a lifestyle generalist. Our guide on how to become a UGC creator covers the portfolio, the pricing and how to reach manufacturers.
