On a creator marketplace, the profiles at the top are not the prettiest. They are the ones that make the buyer's decision easy and that reply fast.
What actually moves a profile up
- Response time. The strongest signal, because a brand with a campaign date cannot wait two days.
- Completion rate. Jobs accepted and delivered on time.
- Recent reviews, more than numerous reviews.
- Consistency between what you promise and what you deliver. Promise one thing and deliver another and you get lukewarm reviews, and a lukewarm review costs more than it looks.
The settings almost nobody touches
Categories
Two or three precise ones instead of all of them. Appearing in everything means appearing at the bottom of everything.
Availability
If you are full, say so. Disappearing from search for two weeks is worth less than a bad review for a late delivery.
Language
Spanish and English, to catch the foreign brands selling into Spain as well.
Minimum price
It filters out enquiries that would never reach an agreement.
The first month counts double
A new profile has no data, so the platform shows it cautiously. The fastest way out is to accept two jobs even if small, deliver early and ask for the review. That is not a pricing strategy, it is a data strategy.
What not to do
Do not cut your price to climb. In Spain that mainly attracts clients who also push on scope and payment terms, and the reviews they leave are the worst ones. A low price is not a competitive advantage on a marketplace, it is ballast.
