Solar energy is an expensive purchase, decided slowly and sold on a bill comparison. The customer does not care about the panel, they care about how much they will stop paying and how long it takes to get the money back. Every piece of content that works in this category starts there.

Why creator video works here

Because the objection is trust. The sector grew fast, a lot of improvised companies appeared, and buyers are afraid of a bad installation, of nobody answering after the sale, and of promises that do not hold.

A video with a real customer, in their own house, showing the bill before and after, defeats more objections than any technical brochure.

The formats that sell

The bill in hand

Before and after, with the date and the amount. It is the strongest format in the category.

Installation day

The team, the roof, how long the work took, how it looks afterwards. It shows professionalism and reduces the fear of disruption.

The simple explanation

How energy compensation works, what is still charged, what happens when it rains for a week.

After sales

Maintenance, cleaning, monitoring, warranty. Nobody films this, and it is exactly what the person about to sign is worried about.

The quote comparison

How to read an estimate, what to ask, what is usually hidden. Educational content that generates qualified leads.

The claims that cause trouble

Do not promise a fixed saving. The bill depends on consumption, tariff, roof, shade and the rules in force, and a generic numeric promise is misleading advertising waiting to happen.

Do not treat the compensation rules as permanent: they have changed in recent years and still involve deadlines and transitions. If the brand wants to quote percentages, timeframes or payback, that comes from the brand in writing, with a date.

Do not film roof work without safety equipment. A video with an installer without a harness is content any serious company will refuse.

Practical notes for the brand

Choose customers willing to show the bill and to sign a release for their home. Without that, the main format does not exist.

Film one whole installation and reuse it: the same job becomes a demonstration, social proof and installer recruitment content.

Agree usage rights by scope and term, and include the customer in the release, because it is their house on screen.

Where to go next

Solar rewards companies that show the invoice and the after sales rather than the panel. Our complete UGC guide for brands covers briefing, usage rights and running creator content as a repeatable process.
