Your voice sounds wrong to you because you have never heard it from outside. It is the first obstacle, and the easiest to clear: it is not solved with theory, it is solved with repetitions.
Why your voice sounds fake
When you speak, you hear your voice through the bones of your skull, deeper and fuller. On a recording you hear it as others do, and the difference feels like being fake. You are not: it is a physical effect, and it disappears after about ten videos.
The drills that work
Record three times in a row without reviewing
The first take is tense, the second mechanical, the third almost always good, because you have stopped monitoring yourself.
Speak to one specific person
Picture a friend and tell her. The tone changes immediately, and it shows in the result.
Prepare only the first line
The hook should be known word for word, the rest has to come in the moment. A memorised text is recognisable by its overly even rhythm.
Move while you speak
Walking, applying the product, cooking: the gesture removes the stiffness of standing still in front of the camera.
Listen back to the audio only
Without the image you work on tone without judging your appearance, which is what blocks people most.
How many takes are normal
Three to six for the main shot, at the start. After twenty videos it drops to two or three. If you need ten, the problem is not shyness, it is that the text is too written.
If it stays an obstacle
Faceless formats exist: hands and product with voice over, tutorials, detail videos. They work very well in home, kitchen and tech, and rates are similar.

Frequently asked questions
Do you need to be extroverted?
No. A calm, sincere person often converts better than a very energetic one.
How many takes are too many?
Beyond ten, the problem is the text, not you.
Is hesitating fine?
Yes, within limits. A slight hesitation raises credibility.
Can you work without showing your face?
Yes, with faceless formats, in strong demand in some niches.
