The message you receive from a brand is not a job yet. It is a race against three other creators, and it is almost always won in the first reply.
Speed matters more than perfection
A brand that writes usually has a deadline. Replying within a few hours, even just to confirm you have read it and will answer in detail the same day, puts you ahead of someone who replies impeccably two days later.
The four questions to send back
- Which channels is the video for? Organic only, or paid ads too.
- How long will you use it? You need this to price rights.
- How many videos and how many variants?
- By when?
Those four questions do two things at once: they give you the data for a quote and they tell the brand you have worked with people who asked them.
The first message that converts
Short, in three parts. One line saying the category is within your range, with a concrete example. The four questions. One line on timing: when you could film and when you would deliver. No long introduction: your profile already did that.
What not to do
- Do not give a price before you know the rights. It is the most common way to give away the most expensive part.
- Do not accept the stated budget immediately when the scope is unclear.
- Do not send the same message to everyone: it is recognisable from the first line.
The Italian detail
Tone. With Italian brands, an overly formal message feels distant and an overly casual one feels improvised. What works is a professional who uses the polite form and goes straight to the facts.
