The moment a campaign stops growing is almost never a budget problem. It is that creative burns out faster than it gets produced.
How many videos an active budget eats
A useful rule of thumb: every time monthly budget doubles, the number of creatives you need grows with it. A small budget survives on two or three new videos a month. A serious budget in Italy asks for eight to twelve, counting hook variants on the same footage.
How to build a creator roster
You do not need thirty. You need three or four who deliver well and with whom the brief gets shorter each time. After three successful jobs, propose a monthly arrangement: a fixed number of videos, fixed price, rights already settled. It costs less than negotiating every time and gives you calendar predictability.
What to keep in house
- The brief and the list of angles. The one thing not to delegate, because it is the strategy.
- Choosing which variants to test.
- Measurement.
The rest, filming and editing, is better outside: it costs less and produces content that does not look like the marketing department made it.
The real bottleneck
In most Italian companies the brake is not production, it is approval. A video waiting ten days for an internal signature misses the window it was made for. Set a simple rule: one person approves, two days to do it, after that it ships.
The signal to speed up
When the same creative stays in first place for more than six weeks, you are not winning, you are slowing down. It means you are not producing enough alternatives to beat it.
