Agriculture is one of the largest sectors in Mexico and one of the least filmed. Producers, input suppliers and exporters all need video, and almost nobody is offering it to them.

What producers need video for

Showing buyers what the operation looks like, documenting certification and practice, recruiting seasonal workers, and increasingly selling direct to consumers. Each of those is a different video and none of them requires a large production.

Input suppliers are the steadiest clients

Seed, machinery, irrigation and crop protection companies sell to farmers who want to see the product working in a field that looks like theirs. A demonstration filmed in the right region at the right point in the season is worth more than any brochure.

Export buyers watch video first

International buyers evaluate suppliers before travelling, and often instead of travelling. A clear video of the packing facility, the cold chain and the handling process answers questions that would otherwise require a visit, which shortens the sales cycle.

The season is the calendar

There is no rescheduling a harvest. Content has to be filmed when the crop is at the right stage, which means planning months out and being on site on short notice. Creators who understand that become genuinely hard to replace.

Filming in the field is a different skill

Dust, wind, sun, distance from power and no signal. This is not a studio job and a creator used to filming products on a table will struggle. It is also why the few who can do it face very little competition.
