Parents buying for a baby are the most sceptical audience in retail, and rightly so. Everything in this category is judged on safety first, and a video that gets the tone wrong does more damage than no video at all.
Safety is the only real subject
Straps, buckles, materials, whether small parts detach, whether it meets the standard the packaging claims. A parent is scanning for reasons not to buy, and the video that names the risk and shows how the product handles it is the one that earns trust.
Real parents, real houses, real tiredness
Casting a polished influencer in an immaculate nursery undermines the message. The most effective baby content is filmed by a parent who is visibly in the middle of it, because that is who the buyer believes.
Show the thing being used one handed
Almost every baby product is used while holding a child. If a stroller cannot be folded with one hand, a parent will find out and say so publicly. Film the realistic version and let the product be genuinely good at it.
Claims here are the most regulated
Health, development and safety statements about baby products are strictly governed, and a creator improvising is a real risk to the brand. Supply the approved wording, and let the creator deliver it naturally rather than reading it.
Buying happens before the birth
A large share of the spend happens in the weeks before a first child arrives, when the parents know least and search most. Content published then, answering practical questions rather than selling aspiration, reaches people at exactly the right moment.
