Easter Week is the only Spanish campaign whose date moves every year, between late March and late April. That reshuffles the entire spring calendar: some years it lands next to the school holidays, other years it leaves the whole of March empty.
Check the date before planning
It sounds obvious and it is the most common failure. The spring content plan cannot be copied from last year because the weeks do not line up. The first step of any annual plan should be checking which week it falls in and arranging everything else around it.
The categories that live off it
Travel and accommodation, hospitality, mobility, mid season fashion, sun care and anything to do with moving around and being outdoors. For hotels and rural houses it is a peak comparable to summer, and it gets decided several weeks in advance.
Local and highly recognisable content
It is a week of strong identity and heavy visual presence across much of the country. A local creator filming in their own city connects instantly, but the context deserves respect: it is a religious celebration for many people, and using it as advertising scenery draws rejection.
Long weekends change behaviour
Beyond the week itself, the Spanish spring is full of long weekends that shift spending towards local and nearby options. Content about short breaks, road trips and destinations two hours from home works in March, April and May, not only at Easter.
Produce in January
Because the date moves, the only way not to be late is to fix production in January and shoot content that serves the whole spring window. Short break material does not expire, and if one year the date falls early, it is already there.
