You do not deliver the same thing for TikTok as for a product page. Knowing what each platform buys in France is what separates a creator who invoices from one who hands over generic files and then wonders why nobody calls back.
Instagram Reels
The main ground for French beauty, fashion, interiors, food and restaurant brands. Vertical, first three seconds decisive, subtitles always because a huge share is watched without sound.
What brands buy here: pieces of fifteen to thirty seconds, polished but believable. Too much production works against you, because the content stops looking like it came from a real person.
TikTok
This is where tone matters more than finish. French audiences reward humour, self deprecation and a clear point of view.
Story formats work best: the problem at the start, the proof in the middle, the conclusion at the end. And brands increasingly ask for several hook versions to test which performs in ads.
Meta Ads and TikTok Ads
This is the game that really pays. When the video goes to paid media, the brand is not looking for art, it is looking for results: opening shot variants, on screen text, a clear call to action and versions at different lengths.
It is also where the price changes, because advertising use is a separate licence. Delivering material for ads at organic content rates means giving away the most valuable part of your work.
YouTube Shorts
Less requested by small brands, very useful for those already investing in YouTube. The same vertical pieces work, but the audio deserves more care because viewers watch with sound more often.
Product pages and ecommerce
A quiet and very profitable lane. Amazon, marketplaces and own stores need short video of the product in use, clean, without licensed music and without seasonal references.
This material ages well and brands buy it again. Many creators ignore it because it does not generate likes, and that is precisely its appeal.
Pinterest and second hand marketplaces
Two underused angles in France. Pinterest remains a discovery engine for interiors, fashion and cooking. And brands selling on second hand platforms need short, honest presentation videos.
What this means for your delivery
Always ask where it will run before filming. It changes format, pace, length and price. A creator who asks that question already looks professional before switching the camera on.
