Brands budget the creator fee and then get surprised by the total. The fee is usually the smaller half of what a UGC campaign actually costs in Mexico, and knowing the other half in advance prevents the campaign stalling halfway.
The creator fee is the visible part
A single short video from an established creator sits in a predictable peso range, and a batch of four is cheaper per unit than four separate commissions. That is the number everybody quotes and it is not the number that matters.
Product cost and shipping
Every creator needs the product, and for physical goods that means the unit cost plus shipping to eight different addresses across the country. For anything heavy or fragile this can rival the creator fees, and it is the line brands forget most often.
Taxes and withholding change the total
Invoices from registered creators carry VAT and withholding, which changes what leaves your account versus what the creator receives. Neither figure is the one on the quote, and finance will ask about the difference.
Usage rights are a real line item
Running the video as a paid ad for six months is a different purchase from posting it organically. Budget it explicitly rather than discovering later that you have to renegotiate with eight people at once.
The hidden cost is coordination
Briefing, chasing, reviewing, approving and filing. For eight videos a month this is a genuine part time job. It is the cost that decides whether a brand keeps producing at volume or quietly stops after two months.
