Costa Rican ecommerce has a barrier large markets already cleared: many people still prefer to buy in person because they doubt the product will arrive, arrive intact, and be what it looked like. UGC attacks exactly those three doubts.

The three doubts to answer on video

Will it arrive?

The real unboxing, with the purchase date and the delivery date said out loud. It sounds trivial and it is what converts most in this market.

Does it arrive intact?

The state of the box, the packaging, whether anything was damaged. Showing solid packaging is worth more than any quality promise.

Is it what it looked like?

The product at scale, next to a familiar object. It is the leading cause of returns in almost every category.

The four uses of a single shoot

The product page

A short video of the product in use, no music, no dates. It lifts page conversion and does not expire.

Paid media

The same footage with three different openings. It requires a separate licence and carries the most value.

Direct messaging

In Costa Rica a significant share of sales closes over WhatsApp. A short fragment the salesperson can send during the conversation closes sales measurably.

Organic social

The rest of the material.

That third use is the most Costa Rican and the one almost nobody plans. Ask for it explicitly in the brief: fifteen second vertical videos, no burned in text, ready to send.

How many pieces to buy

Six creators with three hooks each for paid media, plus a pack of detail shots without a face for product pages and messaging.

The Costa Rican calendar

Black Friday, Christmas with the annual bonus, the February return to school, and Mothers Day in August. Creative is ordered four to six weeks ahead.
