Mother's Day in Argentina is the third Sunday of October, not the international May date. Father's Day is the third Sunday of June. Using a foreign template here is not a detail, it is publishing the campaign five months out.

The second biggest date of the year

After Christmas, October is the strongest commercial peak in the Argentine calendar. Clothing, perfumery, appliances, hospitality and gift retail live off that week. Competition for attention is enormous and whoever improvises pays for it.

The buyer wants not to get it wrong

As in every gift purchase, the video is not addressing the user. It is addressing someone hesitating. What converts is information that lowers risk: whether it can be exchanged, whether it looks presentable, whether it arrives in time, whether it suits someone who has everything.

June is smaller and less crowded

Father's Day moves less volume and therefore carries less advertising noise. For a brand with a limited budget it often performs better: same effort, less competition, and an audience receiving far fewer pitches.

Watch the cliché

Portraying a mother who only cooks or a father who only grills ages badly and draws comments. Campaigns that work show varied families and ordinary situations, without a speech or a moral. It is less risky and performs better.

Produce in August for October

Creators in the strong categories saturate in September. Commissioning in August lets you choose, negotiate and arrive with a library. And since June and October are similar campaigns, film them together in one job: it costs less and stays consistent.
