In Brazil, a sale almost always ends on WhatsApp. The customer sees an ad, taps, sends a message and decides right there. Even so, most brands produce video thinking only about the feed, and arrive on WhatsApp with a catalogue photo and a price.

What changes when the channel is a conversation

Three things.

The video has to work without sound

Many people open the message on public transport or at work. Burned in captions stop being a detail.

It has to be short and specific

In the feed a video competes for attention; on WhatsApp it answers a question the person just asked. Fifteen seconds showing exactly that model is worth more than forty beautiful ones.

It has to be reusable by the salesperson

If the sales team cannot find the right video in ten seconds, they will not use it.

Where the content fits

ChannelWhat it gets you
The catalogueEvery item with a short usage video, not just a photo. It is the most underused format in the channel.
The ready replyA library of videos by objection: size, delivery time, warranty, comparison with the cheaper model.
StatusIt works as a daily shop window for people who already saved the number, and it accepts more informal content.
Groups and broadcast listsWith consent, and with restraint: abuse gets the number blocked.
After salesInstallation, assembly, care. It reduces support calls and returns.

What the brand has to organise

One folder per product, with a fifteen second vertical video, a thirty second one and a version without captions. File names a salesperson understands.

Usage rules for franchisees and resellers, because the video will circulate beyond your control the moment it enters the channel.

Contact consent before sending anything. An unsolicited commercial message is not just annoying, it is a data protection problem.

Usage rights, the forgotten point

A video made for the feed and used as a sales reply on WhatsApp is still commercial use. That belongs in the contract with the creator: scope, term and channels, including messaging and catalogue.

The same applies to the creator's face in sales material: a video circulating in reseller groups for two years is not the same product as a post published once.
